It grew on me a little as I finished it, but it's not to my taste. Too bitter, like most IPAs. Don't buy again.
Beer Review: Black Denim Jacket Stout, by Outer Range Brewing
Soooo yummy. And since it's close to ski areas where I'll be skiing this winter, I may have to make a stop by to get some on draft. Definitely get again.
Beer Review: Hazyish IPA, by Avery Brewing
I'd drink it again, but it's a bit too light on the hops and not dark enough for my tastes.
Hunker Down Double IPA, by Resolute Brewing (updated)
Verdict: Like most IPAs, this would not be my first choice beer under most circumstances. But between this and hard core hop juice, I'd drink it again. After a full four-pack, this beer grew on me a bit, but it still won't be a regular drink.
Beer review: Breakfast Stout, by Founders Brewing Company
Verdict: Don't get again, but don't turn it down if there's no other dark beers in the cooler. There's nothing wrong with the beer (well, besides the label) but there's nothing particular to recommend it either.
Beer review: Imperial Java Stout, by Santa Fe Brewing Company
Verdict: Definitely buy again, but not an everyday beer. Delicious, but with the high ABV and caffeine content, it's a sipper and best enjoyed in the afternoon.
Beer review: Kilt Lifter Scottish amber ale, by Four Peaks Brewing
Verdict: OK, if a little disappointing. Probably don't buy again, but don't turn down a freebie or if it's the only dark beer in the cooler either.
Beer review: Guinness Draught Stout, in pub cans, Guinness Brewery
Verdict: Tasty, but no longer one of my favorites. Buy for corned beef meals, but otherwise choose other beers.
Beer review: Fire Captain Irish Red Ale, by Horse & Dragon Brewery
Fire Captain Irish Red Ale by Horse & Dragon Brewing Company. Verdict - tasty.
