COVID-19 in Colorado – August 23, 2020 update
New cases and positivity percentage are down, as are new hospitalizations. Deaths are holding steady. But hold on to your hats, Colorado, because schools are reopening and the course of COVID-19 is going to get worse from here.
Halloween 2020 – Athena’s headstone painted and obelisk parts cut out
Halloween 2020 continues - Athena's headstone is nearly done, and I've cut out all the major parts of Anpu's (Anubis') obelisk.
COVID reminds us that there is a reason we have science - because reality is neither easy nor tidy, neither are people, and if we want to be more than mere monkeys gaping at the approaching storm, we need a torch to aid our way out of ignorance and into enlightenment.
Food for thought: if requiring a stamp to mail in a ballot is a poll tax and thus against the 24th Amendment, then what is requiring people to take time off work in order to vote?

This meme is so wildly wrong that it shouldn't pass anyone's sniff test, never mind need a detailed numerical debunking like the one that follows.
I look forward to the day when I can delete the bookmarks to Jefferson County Public Health, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and the Centers for Disease Control.
