Too much going on around here with the end of the school year and working from home. I'll have an update this week, likely published this weekend.
Sun-Tzu on prolonged warfare
There is no instance of a nation benefiting from prolonged warfare. - The Art of War, Sun-Tzu
Hunker Down Double IPA, by Resolute Brewing (updated)
Verdict: Like most IPAs, this would not be my first choice beer under most circumstances. But between this and hard core hop juice, I'd drink it again. After a full four-pack, this beer grew on me a bit, but it still won't be a regular drink.
Hoggo on the sinful and Dante’s travels
These dwell among the blackest souls, loaded down deep by sins of differing types. If you sink far enough, you'll see them all. - Inferno, Dante Alighieri
Governors: it’s time to call up your National Guard
What will we choose - bowing down to the terrorists who would reject the states' authority to protect the public from COVID-19, or standing up to them even if that means using the National Guard to do so?
Tilarek on loud speakers
Some folk, too, believe what the loudest talker says. And some folk because it frightens them not to. - Dragonquest, Anne McCaffrey
No mask, no service
"No mask, no service" is only controversial because the people affected by it are used to being on the giving end of such restrictions, not the receiving end.
Not all opinions are created equal. Opinions that are informed by facts, data, logic, and science are better than opinions that are not. And opinions that are based on fantasy, misinformation, wishful thinking, and ignorance are the least of all.
Governor Polis’ COVID-19 mitigations worked
Contrary to what the anti-stay-at-home activists claim, Governor Polis' mitigations were effective. They worked. And they saved lives.
Thorin on cheer and wealth
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. - The Hobbit, J. R. R. Tolkien
